Wild Turkey Craft Feathers
#1 Secondary Feathers are the secondary flight feathers, and are mostly the larger black and white round feathers. Feathers measure 6" to 11". These secondary feathers have little to no damage but all of the feathers have the quill cut off. There will be a mix of left wing and right wing
#2 Secondary Feathers are the secondary flight feathers, and are mostly the smaller brownish feathers. Feathers measure 5" to 11". There are some larger secondary feathers with light to moderate damage and all of the feathers have the quill cut off. There will be a mix of left wing and right wing. These are not archery fletching quality but are perfect for crafts and décor.
Pointer feathers are the first two feathers off of the turkey wing of hens and jakes. They are typically pointed and have a dark tip. All quills have been cut off as shown in the picture. Lengths measure from 6”-10” in total length and are not recommended for feather fletching.
Wild turkey biots between are 8" - 12" long. This should yield a very long supply of biots at a very good price. Turkey biots make very nice translucent bodies. They are generally longer than stripped goose biots and easier to wrap. Great for tails on nymphs.
Mini Barred feathers come from the base of the turkey wing located just in front of the primary flight feathers. These feathers are approximately 3-6 inches in length and the quill has been clipped off.
