Turn Your Wild Turkey Feathers Into More Fletching
Our recommendation: trade your usable feathers for store credit rather than waiting for those exact feathers to be processed and returned. You can apply your credit toward ready-to-fletch products from our available inventory. If the feathers came from a turkey you personally harvested and have sentimental meaning, processing and returning your own feathers is still an option.
Have wild turkey feathers left from a hunt? Wild Fletching buys usable feathers, and you'll receive more value when you choose store credit instead of cash. Put those feathers toward professionally prepared arrow fletching or other products in our catalog.
Why Choose Store Credit?
- Get more for your feathers. For example, each qualifying primary feather is worth $0.70 in store credit compared with $0.50 cash. See the full value chart below for each feather type.
- Shop finished products. Use your credit toward available ground, cut, or dyed arrow fletching rather than having to wait for your own feathers to be individually processed.
- Choose what you need. Apply your credit toward eligible products throughout the Wild Fletching catalog.
Prefer cash? That's still an option. You choose cash payment or the higher store-credit value after your usable feathers are counted and confirmed.
Important: Buying and selling wild turkey feathers is restricted in some states. Check the laws that apply to your location before sending feathers.
How does this work?
Step 1. Package Your Feathers
Gather up all of the feathers you would like processed either still on the wing or cut off, and loosely pack them in a shipping box. Stuffing them into a smaller box may damage them beyond repair. If feathers are still on the wing all meat must be removed and the base of the wing covered in borax, to dry. When cutting feathers off the of the wing, use side cutters, cable cutters, or my favorite, 3 in 1 multi cutters to cut the quill at the base of each feather. Left wing, Right wing, primary and secondary feathers are all accepted. All feathers will be inspected for quality once received. Damaged or soiled feathers will not be counted.
Step 2. Add a note
Include a note in your box with your contact information, INCLUDING YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, and which of the following options you would like:

Option 1 — Store Credit (Best Value) — I'll inspect and count your usable feathers and calculate the store-credit amount using the chart below. Once you confirm the quantities, I'll email your store credit as a gift card to use on Wild Fletching products. Typical inspection and credit processing time is 1–2 weeks.
Sell- You can estimate your cash price from the table at the bottom of the page. I will count all of the usable feathers and calculate your cash payment. Once your package is processed you will receive an email with the quantities received. Once you confirm the quantities, payment can be sent via Venmo, PayPal, or physical check. Typical turnaround time is 1-2 weeks.

You will be contacted as soon as your feathers have been inspected and counted typically 1-2 weeks. If you would like the store credit you will receive an email with details on feathers received, and once in agreement a gift card will be issued to your email address. If you would like to sell the feathers you will be contacted with payment options.
